Handmade apron

I thought what a good way to start of the december season with a apron for baking with mommy! So here it is.... The best part about this apron is it cost me $1 to make!! I bought the cute towel from the good ol' 99c store! and I already had the buttons and ribbon :) It was so much fun to make I think alot of toddlers will be getting these for gifts this year! I cant wait to bake cookies with Sarah wearing this!

creating gifts #1

Project for the princess...
So I found these awesome projects and had to start right away on the making  of them. My plan  is to create christmas presents for everyone this year, given we are low on the fund this year. But all for a good cause as my husband finished RN school!!!! yay! and it has been a long sacrifice but well worth every min.
If you know Sarah she sure looks the part of a girly girl with her long flowing beautiful hair and her striking blue eyes. But she sure loves to play with her favorite things which are hotwheels and dinosaurs as a matter of fact her favorite dinosaur is a triceratops cause it sounds like her name. lol.... I love her so much and her ways of figuring things out.
SO this purse will be one of many things I will make her for christmas and she will probably end up caring her triceratops and her hotwheels in it instead of her makeup and jewelry.  Gotta love it! I love everything about this purse! I think I'll make some for gifts this year :) it took me prob about 1/2 hour to complete and all from scraps and stuff i had already in my craft closet. The handles are little girls bracelets and it really makes it so sweet looking. I hope she will enjoy it!
now off to create some more stuff :)

A sick day

Who wouldn't want to be sick and in my care?....
Sarah seems to have come down with a cold but the only thing she seems to be suffering from is a fever and lots and lots of fun! I always collect crafts from the craft stores and then brake them out when we find ourselves at home. Todays prescription included a fun day of watching movies and cuddling, getting fed popcorn and milk oh and of course making a mask with paint and feather and puffs. Sarah is very proud of her mask! I love being a mommy and getting to care for my daughter when she is sick and in need of some distractions. I hope you like it... this crafts cost us about .50c to make :)

Today

Today was a busy day,
Started off with a nice breakfast with my family I made my husband and I eggs and Sarah Cece (cereal) it was a very happy start to our day!
Then off to a meeting for nurture! I'm sooooo excited it is starting again I can hardly wait! I am going to be a table leader this time and I'm so anxious and excited! I'm relying on God to show me how to be a great one!  The meeting went great and was very encouraging! It was great to meet the rest of the team who will be going on this adventure with me! These woman mean so much to me and have been a very important lifeline in my life! Without them I don't know if I would be as strong in my faith as I am to be totally honest! The best part was when I went to go get Sarah in her classroom she was soo happy and content it made me feel so confident that I was in the right place doing the right thing! when I peeked through the window she was holding hands with a little girl getting ready to play ring around the rosy! soooo stinking cute I wanted to cry! maybe cause I'm pregnant and everything makes me cry but mostly cause I knew she is and always has been in good hands at Rock Harbor I never have to worry!
On our way home we made some stops along the way, first was to the blue icy store (as Sarah calls it) lol (Target) We got our usual and on our way to shop picked up some fun crafts in the $1 section! our favorite spot! We could spend all day there but we didn't. Our next stop was to trader Jose where I think they know us by name...lol... Sarah picked out her usual snacks fruit leathers and dried fruit. Yummy! and on our way our she is so happy to have been given stickers and balloon. she thinks its the best :)
Today we got home after our outings and did a craft. This one is going to Mimi! she painted it all by herself (my supervision) and made a really cute birdhouse. or as Sarah calls it a Tweet house. (all animals are called after what sound they make) lol

Following painting was naptime and today was a very short one! only 1/2 hour!!! lol but she is in such a good mood I agreed to let her out. :)
She is back to painting and decided to do some watercoloring and this time body art as well....lol...
Lets just way today is a good day!

The Learning process...

Being a mommy is the Best and getting to be a stay at home mommy is even better! To be the one to comfort, hold and kiss my girl everyday all day is the best feeling ever! No Job could ever make me feel the way I feel. I am so determined to do the best job I can to bring up a well rounded well educated little girl.! So with that said...
Yesterday I made Sarah a little art/learning corner in her room designated only to crafts and learning! (we may be in small quarters but that wont stop me) I took a trip to the teacher store and picked up some decorations and a teaching preschool book filled with fun activities. Sarah is so proud of her little corner she couldn't wait till daddy got home to show it off! She was so proud of her first learning page we did together. These will be some of the days I will always remember! I feel very proud to be her mommy. At 2yrs old, Sarah knows her colors, shapes and she can count to 10! We spend our time at home practicing all this and working learning new shapes and making new projects. She also mastered the art of making a smiley face and most of them have a stick body and sometimes she decided to add arms and legs lol....too cute!

This is my journal so I can look back years from now remembering the days when life was filled with all the firsts. :-)
Im so blessed and happy to be a mom! And with #2 baby on the way I'm so excited to be able to this again with another child! Thank you God for the blessing of children, Thank you for trusting me with your treasure and thank you for loving me sooooo much that I get to raise children to know and love you!

Mimi's house...

We Love to visit Mimi! (my mom)
Sarah enjoys all her visits to her Mimi's house and I enjoy seeing her spend time with her and enjoying the dogs and all the fun activities! There is always some surprise Mimi has for Sarah wether its a new coloring book or new paints. Something is always waiting for her at Mimi's! its the best drive cause on the way down all she can say is "yay! Mimi's house!" so its not a long painful drive at all! When we pull up to her house she claps and knows exactly where we are spending the weekend! Our visits usually involve baking cookies, playing out in the yard digging in the dirt and playing her her play house and going up and down the slide. I get to put my feet up for a bit and let her run wild. I even usually get to sneak off and spend some much need quality time with my Paco! I love to go over her house and stay all playing cards and drinking a starbucks.!  We both love enjoying spending our weekend visit with Aunti Tay and Uncle Dustin and playing around laughing and making memories!

These are just a few of the photos we have from Mimi's house :)

Im still alive.....

Finally!
Ok so after like 4 months of no blogging im back! Im feeling better and ready to catch up on the last 4 months.
Well to start with he big news! We are expecting baby #2! and are very very excited! Cant wait to meet the new princess or prince that I'm growing in my belly! This pregnancy has taken me for a loop! Its completely different from Sarah's. I was sooooo sick! I actually wont go into to much detail but ended up getting a prescription from my wonderful doctor to help me get back on my feet so I can take care of my wonderful and active 2yr old! I also had to get a root canal this past week! yuk! I knew something was wrong when I woke up with a tooth ache and scheduled and emergency appointment especially since all I can take is Tylenol! :( Feeling much better now! And back to my normal schedule and lifestyle of being a busy and active Mom to my toddler!
Im 17 weeks! 18 on friday! and yes, Im showing I have a baby bump and very proud of it!
SO let see,
This summer has been filled with almost daily trips to the pool we are so lucky to have here in our quiet community.
And a few days to the beach along with going kyaking with my husband and Adrian!
that was sooooo fun! And now we want our own so we can go more! It was a very fun adventure as a family Sarah sat in my lap and we took them out to the bay and enjoyed a fun family day. we found a little hidden beach that we pulled up to and swam in the water for a bit and relaxed in the sun. As we headed back in it was so pretty to see the sun on the water and all the beautiful houses. lots of fun and sooo entertaing for Sarah! she loved all the birds and we even got to see a few fish jump out of the water. Se thought it was sooo neat to see her brother paddling out there and her Daddy right by our side in his own kyake. Oh and of course Doggie came too! cant go anywhere without him! he sat in her lap the whole time! lol tooo cute!

We have taken a few trips to the happiest place on earth! yes Disney! we love that place and if wasnt so hot this summer we would have spent more days there. I had a few mommy and me trips and Sarah loves that cause she gets my undivied attenion. and is so happy to be with her mommy and im so happy and blessed to be with my daughter everyday!
we learned this summer at disney tha she is big enough to drive th ebumper cars all by herself!

and loves fast spinning rides.! lol...she cracks me up as we go around and around she saying "weeeee" oh how i never ever want to forget that little voice! It makes me so proud and happy to be her mommy! i could go on and on like most parents could im sure. lol

We even got to squeeze in a little family time at disney as daddy got a pass too! yay! Sarah was so happy to have Daddy there! she loves family time and loves her Daddy! :)

Mothers day

This is a late entry....
Mother's day 2009 was a very blessed day! I got to spend it with all the most important moms in my life who help make me who i am today.
We gathered for a really nice lunch at my brother in laws parents house out in Fallbrooke. On mothers days especially now I'm soooo grateful I'm a mom and can celebrate it now with such excitement. I feel so blessed to be a mommy and to be raising a daughter in the Lord. I am so grateful God gave me this princess to raise and to cherish and love and kiss and hold.!
I love to hear the words, "momma" "mom" everyday! I'm sooo lucky and love every minute of it even during the trying moments and testing moments that come along with motherhood.
This day I am reflecting on all the things that make me a "mother" and I go back to the beginning when I could sit and count the kicks in my belly and sit and relax and watch the little baby moving in my tummy and see all the movement and waiting till the day I could hold her in my arm and smoother her with kisses.!
When that day finally came I couldn't get enough of Sarah, I actually loved every waking and sleepless moment I got to spend with my princess and every moment I had to bond through breast feeding and the sweet smell of her skin and the soft touch of her cheek against me was like the best present anyone could ever give me and to sit there and know that this little gift was from God and he had me in mind when he sent me this sweet angel just blows me away! That he would choose me to be her mother is the biggest blessing ever to me.!
and as her first year flew by i remember all her first, her first smile, her first laugh and her first crawl and to watch her first steps turn into running. I had so much fun her first year I wanted to take advantage of everything I could and so we joined a momma group and made lots of friends that many we still have from almost 2 years ago.! As we all shared all our struggles with each-other and found support within each-other and if we didn't have that group we may not have made it through as smoothly as we did as first time mommas! That year was fun going to all their first birthday parties and see every kid have their first birthday cake and presents:)
That Second year sure flew by even faster!! with Sarah running and jumping and talking! Having sooo much fun being a mommy to a 2yr old and its only getting better! It seems everyday is a new blessing and a new adventure. Everyday is so different and Sarah brings sooo much joy to my life. I love reflecting on all the moments that make me a mom from the time she calls  "momma out" from her crib in the morning till the time she blows me kisses and says "ni momma" as I leave her room at night.
So as mother's day 2009 comes and goes I just say thank you Lord for all the people I have in my life today and to all the people who have made me who I am! Cause until your a mom yourself I don't think you realize just how much a Mother means to you. All the stuff you have been through makes you appreciate your mom as she made it through for you.! I love my mom and sooo grateful she gave me all the love and support and nurturing through my years. :)

Oh no!

I love when you decide to take a moment to relax on the couch and veg for min. while your kids seem to be occupied by their toys and seem like the perfect moment for a little "me" time, right?
Sarah ran in the room and with a face full of chocolate said "hi momma!" I asked "oh Sarah! where did you get that?" she said "sorry momma" and showed me her hands.
All I can do in these moments is laugh! lol cause life is too short to get mad over messes!
Im sure ill miss these years when she no longer comes in with a huge smile and a face full of chocolate!
Just one of those fun moments that I can cherish and love as a stay at home momma!

Little unexpected journey's

When you least expect it and put the least amount of work into it, it seems thats where you finally uncover the treasure!
Last week we decided to eat out at Wendy's (we never eat there) and as usual Sarah found someone to talk to at the table next to us. The girl had made a comment that Sarah should be on t.v. and I know we are all partial to our own kids but I really appreciate all the comments and I have to say that i agree and of course I do right? as a mom who wouldn't be flattered? right??
So she gave us the modeling agency she works with I thanked her and was very excited to give it a shot.
It may sound funny to pray about that sorta thing but I also know God wants us to ask even for the little things in life and he will meet us there if its meant to be, so I did I gave it to God and figured he knew best if this is where we should have Sarah and knowing what a great way to save for her college education I have been really been considering this.
So I submitted some photos and filled out a questionnaire and waited for a reply. That evening I got a reply!! They asked me for more photos a good sign! and after they received them they got back to me right away! and asked me to get her a work permit and fill out their paper work.! I did right away so i was so anxious.! So I got a confirmation email and they said that they for sure want to work with her and to wait for a phone call in the next couple of days to get going.
So hopefully by this summer we will be driving all over for auditions!
This is'nt just a brag blog...but a praise report also! cause I really have been praying about this and that if its supposed to happen for Sarah that it would just happen with little to none effort. and so far it is! I truly believe this is one of the many ways I can get my Princess Pie to save for college and it will make for some great memories for her to maybe show her kids one day and my grandchildren...oh all the fun possibilities!
Life is fun! So im trying to take advantage of it.!
Sarah I love you soo much and you make my life so happy and adventurous!

Still counting my blessings...

As i reflect on today...a typical day of cleaning running around town getting things like diapers and milk, and making a quick stop at the park Sarah spotted on the way home and asked "mamma play?"
And then we head home to enjoy a short dip in the pool which we enjoy all to ourselves because all the kids are in school! As we head back to the house hand in hand I cant believe this is really my life! I get to enjoy a warm sunny day with the best little blessing ever! I am enjoying this day so much I dont want it to end. Thats when you know its been a good day!
So nap time comes and my hubby and i head off to Costco for lunch :) (yep! we have live in babysitters so why not have an afternoon date?)  and what a yummy lunch it was.
Nap time is over and our ordinary yet wonderful day continues, we have some yummy grilled cheese sandwiches for dinner and then off we go for a walk around the block.
Daddy has to head off to work so we smother him with hugs and kisses and say bye and tell him we will miss him...and continue with our walk, We visit all our neighborhood dogs along the way and Sarah says hi to every passing person, car, plane, train, you name it she says "hi" and Bye".  After our walk Sarah yells out "bubbles" so we head up to take a very bubbly bubble bath and Sarah plays with her favorite bath time toys...her duckies or as she calls them her "quacks" lol. I love watching her play and make up make believe stories that she acts out. And she says "come on mamma, play" so we play....another favorite time of the day.! As we say bye to the water the night time routine continues...
We brush all her beautiful teeth and get on her p.j.'s on and go down stairs to say goodnight to great grandma and great grandpa..."nanna" and "graypa". Her routine is to give a kiss and hug and say "asta manana" which in supposed to be good night in spanish.! good job Sarah! we read a good night story about dinosaurs and said our little prayer and tuck in my girl to bed and nigh nigh as we say and turn of the light.
A perfect ending to a typical yet perfect day.
I love the life I have and grateful for my husband working so hard so that i can be home and raise our daughter.
Thank you God for blessing us with this child to raise for you. We are so lucky to have been given such a beautiful and wonderful child.

Blessing....
As some of you know I'm a part of this wonderful mom group through a church I now call my home church, Rock Harbor Costa Mesa. The name of the group is Nurture and I live each week looking forward to Wednesday's!
I was invited to attend this group about a year and half ago now by a girl friend Christine...and I Thank God that she invited me and that I accepted! (thanks soooo much friend)
I have been greatly blessed by all the friendships I've made and the support group I now have because of all these moms!
As this season of Nurture ends i am finding my self reflecting upon just how much this group means to me and what a comfort zone it has become. We gather every Wednesday for prayer, fellowship and might I add some very yummy breakfast! (prob the only breakfast I have all week) I check in my daughter to the childcare and know that she is getting loved on and nurtured at the same time that I am and the best part is they know her by name! How comforting to hear them say "yay Sarah's here!" I love knowing I can take some "me" time to really focus on God and fellowship with friends, knowing she is being well taken care of!.
And at the end of the 2-hours I look forward to making my way down the hall eagerly waiting to hear "momma! yay!" and see her fly out the door into my arms! and as she says "bye" she is so proud of her artwork (usually a coloring page from a bible story) that she says "see mamma!" and we hold hands all the way to the car :)
so, next week is our last week before the summer break begins, and knowing I will be eagerly waiting for Nurture to start up again and missing all the girls, I know he has big plans for us this summer and am so grateful because if it wasn't for Nurture and meeting with God there every week i wouldn't be where i am today. He has given me a support group and now I am that support for some of the woman as they were for me when i needed it. Its so wonderful to know your not alone in this new job we take on called "mommyhood" and realizing that you cant study up on it, you can't go to college for it, and you certainly are not guaranteed to be born with it. Its comforting to know your not alone and to have help along the way is another huge blessing.!
So thank you God! thank you for all the support I have around me and the wonderful circle of Friends I have made and to know that we are all in it together!
That's all, I just felt like reminiscing about this group today and God layed it on my heart to realize when I'm feeling alone...that I'm not and God is here and my Church is here to lift me up. :)

Ok.....
So Today i decided I'm going to make it a point to blog every week! yep! me! blog!
I am mainly doing this so that i can remember all the memories with my baby girl as she grows and be able to reminisce about all the good times and bad...well maybe not bad just trying..lol...
My Princess Pie is now 2yrs old and 2-months old and I'm loving every minute of her life still!. I treasure all the days of her life because i took the advice of some people and realize that everyone says how fast it goes by and i don't want to be in that group who say i can't remember what it was like it went by so fast. I feel very blessed to be called a mommy and because of my wonderful Husband who works so hard so that i can stay at home with our girl and teach her all the in's and out's of life and the morals i can can instill in her and not some intuition who will instill theirs. I'm Proud to be a SAHM&W!
On the other hand I am doing this so that I can keep up with all you other mommies with our daily challenges and our daily praises. I hope that though the days, months, years even, that we can bond though all these entries and look back and see how far we have come as wife's, mommies and woman.

Sarah just had her 2yr old birthday party with some friends and family and it was a true milestone for all of us! we have all come along way in our little world and with God it has all been possible! I give him all the Glory in my life and promise it will always stay that way! God has blessed and trusted in me to take care of this precious bundle of joy and i feel so honored to call her my daughter. I love this little angle with all of my heart and will keep my end of the bargain and raise her in his name and to know my God and for his glory!! Amen.
